and At-Large Seats on Board of Directors

Lexington, KY - The United States Equestrian Federation is currently accepting nominations for the office of Secretary, two International At-Large seats and one At-Large seat on its Board of Directors.  General authority and responsibilities of the office of Secretary are described in Bylaw 332, Section 2 of the USEF Rulebook; Board member responsibilities and eligibility are defined in Bylaw 301. Both can be foundhere

Nominees for the office of Secretary must come from the current Board of Directors to serve the remainder of President-Elect Chrystine Tauber's term (through 2014). To be eligible for nomination to an International At-Large seat, an individual must demonstrate an understanding of and embrace the critical importance of the Federation's role in international sport.

Nominations for all three At-Large Director seats and the office of Secretary will only be accepted online and must be received on or before Sunday, November 18, 2012. Submissions should include a narrative describing how the nominee's participation on the USEF Board will benefit the organization. You will find the online form here, or for assistance with your nomination you may call Jane Ohlert at 859-225-6921 or email her at johlert@usef.org.

The Nominating Committee will meet to consider all nominations and submit its recommendations to the Board of Directors on or before Tuesday, December 18, 2012.  The Board will conduct the election at the 2013 USEF Annual Meeting during the first meeting of the Board on Thursday, January 17, 2013.
