USEF Offers Exciting Educational Opportunities for Second Half of 2011



Lexington, KY - The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) would like to announce several educational opportunities that are available for the remainder of 2011.

A Dressage Young Horse seminar restricted to licensed Dressage Judges, and a Dressage Equitation seminar open to licensed Dressage Judges and L Program graduates, will be held at Lamplight in Wayne, IL, August 24-26.

A week of “super” clinics is planned for September 5-9, in Reno, NV, for Hunter/Hunter Seat Equitation Judges, Jumper Judges, Hunter Breeding Judges, Jumper Course Designers, and Hunter Course Designers. In addition, Julie Winkel has planned many activities at her nearby Maplewood Farm and the Franktown Meadows Hunter Derby at Carson City. The host hotel, the Peppermill Casino and Resort Hotel, and these clinics are open to judges, as well as applicants and auditors. Registration deadline is July 25.

There will be a Connemara Judges Clinic held in Boxborough, MA, on September 18 in conjunction with the American Connemara Society Annual meeting. Class will be held at the Holiday Inn Boxborough and the live training will be conducted at nearby Bantry Bay Farm. Deadline for registration is August 22.

A dressage Sport Horse Breeding Judges Clinic will be offered at Hilltop Farm in Colora, MD, October 3-5, which will include a special class for promotion to large “R” on October 3 - a clinic that has never been previously offered.

USEF has added a Vaulting TD Clinic on October 15, which is open to USEF C2 Stewards, TDs, Vaulting Judges or FEI Vaulting Officials to fulfill the initial grandfather licensing clinic requirements as outlined in GR1076 of the current Federation rule book. This clinic also is open to others interested in the license and will be held at the Embassy Suites Portland Airport in Portland, OR. Discount registration deadline is September 23. This clinic may be subject to cancellation if there are not a sufficient number of registrations established prior to July 29 (45 days prior to the scheduled clinic).

There also will be an FEI Veterinarian Course held in conjunction with the AAEP convention in San Antonio, TX, as well as a FEI Endurance Veterinarian Course at the same time. These courses will be held on November 17 and 18 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, in San Antonio.
