The Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation (TRF) has announced a free veterinary care program for ex-racehorses from TRF registered and approved non-profit organizations.

The group of professionals who have agreed to provide their services for free are part of the new National Equine Veterinary Alliance. The Alliance's goal is to "promote a beneficial and cooperative outreach program to the rescue/adoption organizations providing aftercare to these deserving ex-racers,"  QuarterHorseNews.com reports.
