Scott Stewart and Inclusive Win Four of Five to Take
the First Year Green Working Hunter Championship

Week 11 of the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival, which runs through April 3, has begun and it's down to business as usual. The Green Hunter divisions wrapped up their competition today, meaning they only have one horse show left before the end of the winter circuit. Among the green divisions that finished today were the First Year Green Working Hunters.

Scott Stewart rode his own entry, Inclusive, to the First Year Green Working Hunter championship this week. "He's so much fun! He is amazing to ride," beamed Stewart. Stewart purchased Inclusive, an eight-year-old Warmblood gelding, within the last year. "I bought him last summer primarily to be a junior hunter for Victoria Colvin," explained Stewart.

Inclusive has been awarded multiple championships this winter with Stewart and junior rider Victoria Colvin. However, this week the winning duo of Stewart and Inclusive won an impressive four out of five classes to secure the championship. "The last time I showed him was Hunter Rider Week (WEF 6), and he was champion. Victoria has been riding him since then, but I figured I'd show him one last time before circuit is over," stated Stewart.

All looks good for both riders and Inclusive in the summer horse show season to come. "I'll do him at Devon and maybe some of the bigger shows in the summer that we go to, and Victoria will focus on him in the juniors," said Stewart. While there is no set plan for Inclusive as far ahead as indoors in the fall, there's no doubt that he will be a force to be reckoned with.

The reserve championship in the First Year Green Working Hunters was awarded to The Good German. Marc Grock owns The Good German, but Patricia Griffith had the ride this week. The duo won one class and placed second in another to win the reserve championship during week 11.

Competition will continue tomorrow at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center. The Adult Amateurs 51 and Over Section A, presented by Camping World, will vie for their division's championship tomorrow in the E.R. Mische Grand Hunter Arena. Stay tuned for more results as the weekend approaches and more hunter championships are awarded.
