The Wellington Equestrian Preservation Alliance Issues First Alliance Report

Wellington, FL -  The Wellington Equestrian Preservation Alliance released its first edition of the Wellington Alliance Report this week. The Report is dedicated to providing the community at large with information concerning the latest news and issues that impact the people, local businesses and lifestyles in Wellington, FL.

The first edition focuses on a proposed and controversial development in the Wellington Equestrian Preserve and its potential to dramatically affect crime, traffic and noise and property values in that part of the Village.  With plans to build a mall, high-rise condominiums, fairgrounds and an RV park in the heart of horse country, this controversial development -- known locally as "Equestrian Village at World Dressage" by the developer or "PBIEC Phase II" at City Hall - is described in the Alliance Report as "a thinly veiled scheme to bring commercial development where none has been allowed before, all under the guise of promoting Wellington's Equestrian Community."

The Wellington Equestrian Preservation Alliance is dedicated to working with the Village in order to protect this vital economic engine and enhance the Wellington Equestrian Preserve and the Wellington equestrian community.  As Alliance President Lou Jacobs comments in the Report, "We all have created a world class equestrian community here. I think by working together we can continue to balance commercial development with a rural equestrian lifestyle."
