The mare was expecting her first foal in March. Unfortunately, although a team of vets did everything they could, neither the mare nor the foal could be saved.
Born March 2001, Whizards Baby Doll Roxy gained international fame from a video that went viral on the Internet in which Stacy rode her with no bridle or saddle, winning the Freestyle Reining Championship at the 2006 American Quarter Horse Congress with a special tribute ride for Stacy's father who had just passed away. The mare also appeared with Stacy on the Ellen DeGeneres show.
