2013 World Dressage Masters Palm Beach Ticket Update
Wellington, FL--Don't delay in buying tickets for the 2013 World Dressage Masters (WDM) Palm Beach scheduled for January 23-27 at the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center in West Palm Beach, FL, during the Wellington Classic Dressage Sunshine Challenge CDI3*.
"In the past four days we have had very high sales," said Maria Feola, ticket manager at the International Polo Club. "Sections A and C are selling faster than sections E, K and H."
Feola explained that often when people call for tickets, they don't realize the section designations correspond to the letters on the dressage arena. "The people who call for this event are knowledgeable about dressage, but for some reason they don't put it together." She added that there are still tickets available in all sections but that there are more along the sides of the dressage court.
As it comes closer to time for the WDM, tickets will become scarce. The athletes vying for top prizes at the 2012 World Dressage Masters Palm Beach performed before a sold-out house and predictions are that tickets will be equally as coveted in 2013.
The International Polo Club is in charge of selling tickets for the show. Tickets for the entire event start at $200 per person in reserved seating, and VIP seating for a table of eight in the first row runs $7,500. Other VIP ticket options include second row seating for a table of eight for $6,500 and $4,500 in the third row for tables of four. All VIP tickets are subject to a six percent sales tax.
General reserved seating tickets are $250 per person for section A, $200 per person for section C, and $300 per person for Sections E, H and K.
World Dressage Masters (WDM), presented by Axel Johnson Group, is an elite competition series at the highest international level, featuring the world's leading dressage shows and riders, and offering an unprecedented €425,000 in prize money (over $550,000 US). The WDM Palm Beach is one of only four 5-Star shows held worldwide and the only one to be held on U.S. soil. The World Dressage Masters Palm Beach drew nearly 10,000 spectators and competitors throughout the four-day show in 2012 and set records for attendance in North American dressage.
The 2012 event brought world-class equestrians to the area including Olympians Charlotte Dujardin, Carl Hester, Steffen Peters, Adrienne Lyle, Tina Konyot, Minne Tilde, Ashley Holzer, Jacqueline Brooks, Per Sandgaard and Tinne Vilhelmson-Silfven along with superstar dressage riders Todd Flettrich, Heather Blitz, James Kofford, Pierre St. Jacques and Anja Plönzke.
The 2013 line-up should prove to be equally exciting. Invitations have been extended to Olympic riders from the U.S., Germany, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Austria, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Spain and Canada.
"We are expecting demand for tickets to be high again for the 2013 show," explained Noreen O'Sullivan , managing partner of Wellington Classic Dressage, the producers of World Dressage Master Palm Beach CDI5* for the past two years. "People who waited to buy tickets in 2012 were disappointed and we would hate for someone planning on seeing top dressage riders and horses wait too long and not get tickets."
