Lane's End Farm announced today that Zenyatta, who was recently Horse of the Year, will be bred to Barnardini.
Barnardini, who was the Eclipse award winning three-year-old colt, won the Travers, Preakness, Jim Dandy, and Whithers Stakes, and was 2nd in the Breeder's Cup Classic. His overall race record was 8-6-1-0.
At his first year at stud, he sired Graded Stakes winners on both the dirt and turf. He stands at Sheik Mohammed bin Rasheed al-Maktoum's Darley Stud.
Zenyatta had a remarkable career in which she won multiple Graded Stakes, 19 out of 20 starts, and came second in the Breeder's Cup Classic by a head.
