As a former elementary teacher I've seen so many positive life-giving results for children engaged in therapeutic riding. I hope CARD continues to be supported.
Therapeutic riding is a great support for mentally and physically challenged people. My brother was a volunteer at Card in its early years. I was involved with Stride which was located in Elmvale ON for years. As a foster parent I used what I learned at Stride with our foster children with great success. I donated hundreds of binders to Card for their records to be kept on each rider. My special needs son flourished from therapeutic riding. I hope Card and other therapeutic riding centres keep up the good work. It is a very rewarding volunteer experience.
