Assistant Trainers Position

We are primarily a western oriented barn.

Applicants must:

•· Enjoy working long days

•· Be willing to put in hard physical effort

•· Be serious about pursuing a career in the horse business

•· Have a attention to details

•· Be willing and able to help with chores and / or facility maintenance as needed

Qualifications:

• · Strong desire to learn, learn, learn

•· Exceptional work ethic

•· Be physically fit

•· Open minded and able to learn from anyone

•· Prepared to ride 8 - 10 horses a day

•· Natural horsemanship experience and certification is a big plus

•· Applicant must be a confident rider at all gaits in and out of an arena

•· Colt starting experience is an asset

Other horsemanship skills that would help are:

•· Reining or dressage back ground

•· Roping skills

•· Cattle work

We will consider training the right individual.

Plus, a list of any home study programs, DVDs, books etc, or and courses or schooling you may have been involved in. Also list any special interest to do with horses and previous horse work or training experience etcetera.

Also applicants should send in a DVD of them riding and handling horses from the ground up. I would like to see you handle the horse from stall /paddock to saddle to mounting to riding. You may show multiple horses at any level of training. Show me any skills you think I should see. You do not have to be perfect I just want to see where you are presently at. Have fun with it.
