The business had its start when a friend of mine came to me in dismay - she had hired a professional web designer to create a site for her riding stable, and he had sent a photographer out to take some digital photos for the site.

There on the Home Page, being used as the background shot, was an image of a young girl in obvious trouble - the horse was galloping, neck inverted, mouth wide open, and the girl was standing in the stirrups, leaning back, hauling on the reins. Awful! And the rest of the site was full of images just as bad.

When I asked what was going on she said "The photographer only took pictures of what he thought looked exciting, and the designer doesn't know a thing about horses, so he used all the photos."

This friend know I designed web sites as my job and asked if I could help her out. Of curse, I said yes, and what started that day has developed into Alpha Mare Web Design.
