Jeepster , a New Zealand Thoroughbred foaled in 1987 began his career as a racehorse named Delphic Oracle. He had 22 starts, mostly at the Illawarra and Hawksbury races with reasonable success, his winnings totalling over $17 000.

Retired from racing at 5 years old, he was bought for Event rider Stuart Tinney in 1993 by Michael Pribula.

As is often the case with ex-racehorses, Jeepster's early antics in dressage were interesting, however he showed a unique ability for eventing so the Tinney's persevered with him. This commitment paid off and Jeepster was selected with Stuart on the Australian team for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

Teamed with Darien Powers (Andrew Hoy), Kibah Sandstone (Matt Ryan) and House Doctor (Phillip Dutton), Jeepster won gold at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. He executed an accurate dressage test, a faultless cross country round and had just one rail and a time penalty in the show jumping phase. Huge crowds at the Sydney Olympics will remember the victory lap with all four combinations after the thrilling final jumping phase at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre, one of the few Olympic Equestrian venues still in use around the world.

Jeepster was named NSW Eventing horse of the year in 2000 and in 2003 he earned the right to represent Australia again in Athens for the 2004 Olympic Games.

While Jeepster is now retired and enjoying his time in the paddock watching over the young horses at the Tinney's property in Maraylya, Stuart is aiming for selection on yet another Australian team this time heading for the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky USA. Stuart is aiming to make the team on either of his two stars Vettori or Panamera. Vettori won the Adelaide CCI4* in 2009 and Panamera was 2nd at the recent Melbourne CCI3*. Stuart, along with the other Australian-based WEG contenders, will be competing in the 4-star compulsory “confirmation of fitness” class at the Sydney International Three Day Event from 26 - 29 August this year.

As part of the ten year anniversary celebrations of the Sydney Olympic Games the Tinney's will be bringing Jeepster out of retirement to make a guest appearance at the Sydney International Three Day Event to be held at the Olympic venue at Horsley Park. The legendary horse will meet the crowds on Saturday and will be part of the presentations on Sunday.
