August 11, 2010 — Belinda Trussell of Newmarket, ON has been named the
Dressage Canada Red Scarf Equestrian Athlete of the Month for July.
Trussell and Anton, a 10-year old German-bred gelding (Antaeous x
Saxony) owned by Robyn Eames, received a score of 67.39% in the Grand
Prix test to secure the Team bronze medal along with her Canadian
Olympian teammates Ashley Holzer and Bonny Bonnello in the Nations’ at
CDIO 5* Rotterdam, NED, held June 16 – 20 in Rotterdam, NED. Trussell
and Anton also finished with a score of 72.536%, for 11th place, in the
Freestyle.

At CDIO 5* Aachen, held July 13 – 18, which was the last stop of the
Dressage Canada European Tour, Trussell and Anton 68.024% to finish in
15th place in the Grand Prix and scored 67.125% in the Grand Prix
Special to assist the Canadian Team to a fifth place finish. The pair
also finished in 12th with a score of 72.071% in the Grand Prix
Freestyle.
“Our team third place finish in Rotterdam is so exciting. It is
fantastic for Canada and I am proud to be a part of such a strong team,”
said Trussell. “Anton is a wonderful horse and I am lucky to have him.
In Aachen, he was sensational in the Freestyle. He was quite nervous of
the music and the 20,000 people watching him! But he fights for me in

Dressage Canada Red Scarf Equestrian Athlete of the Month is a
