Brentina's second surrogate foal was born on May 14.  He is a chestnut colt with one hind sock and a star and stripe.  Unfortunately, the surrogate mare did not survive the birth.

Brentina,  a Hanoverian mare born in 1991, is by Brentano II out of a Lungau mare.  She was Debbie McDonald's very successful medal winning Olympic, World Championship, and Pan American games partner.  They won the World Cup Final in 2003.

The sire of the foal is Leslie Morse's stallion, Kingston, a Dutch Warmblood stallion by Voltaire out of a Burggraaf mare.  He also has had a long successful career which included traveling as reserve for the Olympics, a bronze team medal at the World Championships, a medal at Aachen and World Cup ribbons.

With these parents,  it is no surprise that he is a big, handsome foal.

He has been given the name Brighton, and the search is on for a nurse mare to help raise him.
