British Showjumping acknowledged the achievements of its stars at a glittering Awards Ball held at the Hilton Metropole, NEC, Birmingham, Tuesday 6th April 2010. In excess of 500 guests attended the glittering occasion, which was supported by the British Showjumping Business Partnership, as a platform where funds were raised to be re-invested back into the sport underpinning the British Showjumping Performance Delivery Plan. The eleven highly prized awards were presented to:-

Best Pony Rider of the Year: Jessica Mendoza (Chippenham, Wilts)

Best Rider Under 21 Years (On horses) of the Year: Jemma Kirk (B'Oness, West Lothian)

Members Personality of the Year: Geoff Billington (Nantwich, Cheshire)

Riders Rider of the Year: Ben Maher (Bishops Stortford, Herts.)

International Horse/Rider Combination of the Year: Ben Maher & Robin Hood W (Bishops Stortford)

Area/ International Points Winner: Helen Tredwell (Finmere, Bucks.)

Members Show Venue of the Year: Ingliston Country Club & Equestrian Centre

Members County Show of the Year: Great Yorkshire Show, Harrogate

Breeders Award: Old Lodge

British Showjumping Coach of the Year: Susie Gibson (Warrington, Cheshire)

Lifetime Achievement & Services to Showjumping: Harvey Smith (Bingley, West Yorkshire)
