Build-out update for 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™

LEXINGTON, KY—28 days to go—The build-out for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games has reached less than a month to go, and construction crews have taken over the Kentucky Horse Park to prepare it for the 16-day event.
Dozens of RV trailers have been moved into the Campground and will be used by grooms (equine caretakers) during the Games. The Groom’s Village will feature RVs, dining and other amenities.
Near the Visitor Center of the Kentucky Horse Park, both the Alltech Experience and Kentucky Experience pavilions have transformed from piles of materials into massive structures. Both pavilions feature multiple tents and architectural elements that will house activities and entertainment for spectators.
Construction crews are putting finishing touches on the last of the temporary seating stands at the Park. Stand B is almost complete at the Outdoor Stadium; it is the last of three temporary stands to be assembled there. Stands at the Driving Stadium are also being completed and surround three sides of the Stadium.
Crews have started working on the interior of the Markers Mark Bourbon Village, which will be the main hospitality pavilion on the Park, located near the Outdoor Stadium.
Elsewhere on the Park, workers are assembling many tents and structures for spectator amenities as well as building and painting fences and obstacles that will be used for Eventing Cross-Country and Driving Marathon. John Deere has provided equipment for the Games and will showcase equipment near the Kentucky Experience.
