Ogilvy Equestrian the Foundation of a World Champion

Lery, Quebec | January 10, 2011 – Philippe le Jeune, winner of show jumping at the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games and valued client of Ogilvy Equestrian’s line of saddle pads, has solidified his relationship with Ogilvy Equestrian.

“We attended the Salon du Cheval in Paris France, home to the Gucci Masters CSI 5* International Show Jumping Competition, where Philippe le Jeune was competing earlier in December. We were looking for a European competitor to work with who already believed in our product and that our clients could relate to,” remarked Jack Ogilvy, president of Ogilvy Equestrian. “We saw that Philippe was competing with our half pad. In fact he had been using it at the Games in Lexington and during the months leading up to October’s event! It was so important to us that he was not just a fan, but was already an established customer.”

The Ogilvy Equestrian line of saddle pads has been designed to maximize comfort for both horse and rider, to relieve pressure points and to amplify the horse’s movements. Ogilvy Equestrian is dedicated to using designers who have years of riding experience, and who are speaking with today's top riders to ensure the equestrian products that are developed are the very best available.

Ogilvy Equestrian is proud of its long-term relationship with Canadian Equestrian Team member Jill Henselwood as a user and supporter of the Ogilvy Equestrian products. This additional alliance with le Jeune showcases the Canadian-made products to create even more international awareness for Ogilvy Equestrian.

“Philippe was using our half pad on his horse Vigo d'arsouilles when he was competing in the final four round at the World Equestrian Games,” remarked Jackie Ogilvy, founder, vice president and designer at Ogilvy Equestrian. “Philippe is show jumping’s World Champion. After his win at the Games, and the famous kiss he gave his horse in appreciation of his win, he has also become known as someone who is compassionate toward his horses. We share that sentiment, and understand that compassion and ensuring comfort will ultimately set the foundation for optimal performance.”

Following the winning round at the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, le Jeune commented on his relationship with horses, “When I was a young boy my father taught me to love animals. I love animals more than people. I dedicate all my life to the horses. The first thing for me is to get on the horses, feel them and love them.”

When asked about his decision to use Ogilvy, le Jeune commented, “I am always looking for the best tack for my horses. I tried the Ogilvy half pads and I must say they fit the horses’ backs so well and feel very comfortable. I ride all my horses with one!”
This new alliance between Ogilvy Equestrian and Philippe le Jeune comes with the re-launch of the company’s website which will occur in the coming weeks.
