Last year’s winner is also under the top rankings after the dressage and jumping in the DHL Prize, the eventing competition: The German team comprising of Andreas Dibowski with Euroridings Butts Leon, Michael Jung with Weidezaunprofi’s River of Joy and Ingrid Klimke with FRH Butts Abraxxas are presently leading on 140 points, ahead of Great Britain (148) and Belgium (149.40). The fourth German team rider, Dirk Schrade, had to withdraw his horse, King Artus, before the jumping due to injury.

Drivetime and his British rider, Emily Baldwin, will set off on the cross-country course tomorrow with the best score of 40.20 penalty points, five less than the current no. 1 in the world rankings, Andreas Dibowski with Euroridings Butts Leon (45.20). The Italian eventer Stefano Brecciaroli (46.00) is currently in third place, followed closely by Michael Jung and Weidzaunprofi’s River of Joy (46.20), who are extremely successful at the moment. Jung also ranks twelfth with his second horse, Leopin (48.20). Furthermore, the German competitors Simone Deitermann with Free Easy NRW (47.60/8th), Dirk Schrade with Gadget de la Cere (48.20/13th) and Ingrid Klimke with FRH Butts Abraxxas (48.60/15th) are still all in with a good chance of achieving a top placing.

The deciding competition starts at 10.30 on Saturday morning. In order to increase the tension, the leading rider will compete last.
