June 18, 2010 — Diane Creech of Caistor Centre, ON has been named the Dressage Canada Red Scarf Equestrian Athlete of the Month for May.

At the CDI3* Allentown in Allentown, NJ, held May 28–30, Creech won the Grand Prix Freestyle with a score of 70.000%, riding Devon L (De Niro x Wolkenstein II).  The 10-year-old Hanoverian gelding is owned by Creech’s long-time sponsor, Douglas Leatherdale of Leatherdale Farms.

In the FEI Young Horse Test of Choice, Creech rode Hallmark, a six-year-old Hanoverian gelding (sired by His Highness), to second place with a score of 81.200%. Hallmark is also owned by Douglas Leatherdale.

“I am very honoured to be named as the Dressage Canada Red Scarf Equestrian Athlete of the Month for May, and I would like to thank Dressage Canada and Red Scarf Equestrian,” said Creech. “It is a great way to show recognition of the efforts of my sponsors, Mr. and Mrs. Leatherdale; myself and my team. I am also very proud of Devon to achieve this as he is so talented.”
