24 September 2010 - As the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ opens for business in Lexington, Kentucky tomorrow, Definite Entries are now available here for Reining, Endurance and Dressage, the three disciplines that kick-start the action at the Kentucky Horse Park.

Around 900 athletes and over 1,300 horses were listed when nominated entries closed in August. While these numbers will naturally reduce as the confirmed entries are received, the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ is still the largest ever, with a record number of athletes and a record eight disciplines. It is also the first World Equestrian Games to be held outside Europe.

Para-Equestrian Dressage makes its first ever appearance at an FEI World Equestrian Games to join Endurance, Reining, Dressage, Eventing, Jumping, Driving and Vaulting.

Of the definite entries received to date, 24 countries are represented in Dressage, with 14 nations fielding full teams. In total there are 66 riders and horses for the Dressage discipline. Athletes from 30 nations will compete for Endurance honours making up a total of 108 competitors with 113 horses, while in Reining 78 athletes from 22 countries will contest the top prizes.

Entries for the remaining five disciplines close over the next week. The dates for these are as follows:

· Eventing: 25.09.10
· Jumping: 29.09.10
· Para-Dressage: 30.09.10
· Vaulting: 01.10.10
· Driving: 02.10.10

Once they have been validated, Definite Entries for these five disciplines will be available on the FEI website within 24 hours of these closing dates.
