There were two on-course accidents at Fair Hill CCI2* and CCI3* this weekend.  While one of the horses involved, Russian Roulette, was fine.   The other horse, J.B.'s Star, had been stabilized on course, then transported to New Bolton Center.  The vets at New Bolton found that J.B.'s Star had a serious fracture in his humerus with poor prospects for recovery and he was humanely euthanized.

Jennifer Simmons was riding J.B.'s Star and she was injured when he fell on her.  She was taken to a hospital for testing and later released.

The rider of Russian Roulette, Sharon White, suffered a broken hip when he fell, and she will undergo surgery to repair it.
