THERMAL, CA (October 28, 2010)-- HITS, Inc. is pleased to announce that it will continue to offer circuit discounts at the 2011 HITS Desert Circuit for stalls, paddocks, RV spaces and VIP services, with some additional savings offered over last year’s rates for permanent stalls. These discounts will help exhibitors who show for the entire six weeks save on average more than 20% over the standard weekly rates. The six-week 2011 HITS Desert Circuit runs from Tuesday, January 25 until Sunday, March 13.

The HITS Desert Horse Park in Thermal, California features 4,000 stalls, 1,000 of which are located in 10 spacious permanent barns, all on the show grounds. Each permanent stall measures 12x12 and features rubber mats, yoke gates and electric outlets. As a result of customer feedback, HITS will offer a weekly, half-circuit and circuit rate for permanent stalls, providing three different price points for customers in need of flexibility when making their winter plans. As always, priority will be granted to circuit and half-circuit reservations.

Weekly permanent stalls will be priced at $375, while the $1,800 circuit rate, which is $200 less than last year’s already discounted rate, represents a savings of 20% over the weekly rate. HITS also reduced the half-circuit permanent stall rate by $350 over last year. Half-circuit permanent stalls will be priced at $1,050 for either the first three weeks or the second three weeks of shows.

Leslie Steele owns and operates Acres West in Calabasas, California and has been bringing her barn and students to the HITS Desert Circuit for many years. “We love the permanent stalls at HITS, they are lovely and the horses are always comfortable there,” said Steele. “As a professional and owner I really appreciate the fact that HITS is offering us a really nice incentive with these discounts. Offering these discounts is a great help, especially as the economy continues to recover, and is a gesture that will enable me to bring as many of my students as possible. We are all excited to come for the circuit and enjoy another terrific season.”

Circuit rates for the tent stalls at the HITS Desert Circuit will once again be priced at $1,000 for the six weeks of horse shows, a savings of 17% over the weekly rate of $200 per stall.

Paddocks and RV spaces are abundant at the HITS Desert Horse Park, and will be available to exhibitors for $250 each per week or $1,250 each for the circuit, another 17% savings.

The Oasis Club at the HITS Desert Circuit is one of the most popular VIP experiences in the country. Overlooking the magnificent Grand Prix Ring, the Oasis Club features the most delicious, diverse and healthy menu offered at any horse show. Fresh fruits and vegetables, bountiful salads, and an assortment of cold and hot dishes are served daily from Wednesday through Sunday for breakfast and lunch. Tables of eight are available for the weekly rate of $1,500, while circuit tables are priced at $7,000 for a 22% savings.

Once again this season, the HITS Desert Circuit will feature four FEI World Cup Qualifiers in its popular Indoor Arena. The HITS Desert Circuit VIP FEI Box Club offers prime seating, which will be raised this year for improved viewing, as well as a delicious, light supper buffet and wine service for exhibitors looking to enjoy a ringside VIP experience on World Cup nights. Tables of six are available for the weekly rate of $750, while exhibitors can save 33% if they purchase the full package of all four weeks at $2,000.

Each year, HITS strives to provide exhibitors the best horse show experience for their money and, in addition to these phenomenal on-site cost savings, HITS has made arrangements with its Official Lodging Partners for discounted rates. A complete list of the HITS Thermal Official Lodging Partners will soon be available on-line and exhibitors are encouraged, whenever possible, to take advantage of the savings offered especially for HITS customers.

The 2011 HITS Desert Circuit will get underway on Tuesday, January 25 and will run for three consecutive weeks until Sunday, February 13. After a short break, February 14 – 20, show jumping returns on Tuesday, February 22 and will continue until Sunday, March 13 when HITS will close out the season with its super-finale weekend, which will feature the $25,000 Devoucoux Hunter Prix and the $200,000 Lamborghini Grand Prix of the Desert, presented by Lamborghini of Newport Beach.

This year’s Desert Circuit will feature 16 Grand Prix qualifiers for the $1 Million Grand Prix and six Devoucoux Hunter Prix qualifiers for the all-new $500,000 HITS 3’3” Hunter Prix Final. Both will take place September 10-11 at HITS-on-the-Hudson in Saugerties, New York as the “super finale” to the entire 2011 HITS show season. The circuit will also feature several new classes and divisions on the schedule, as well as new property enhancements which include a beautifully revamped Jumper Ring 1, more than a thousand new plantings, and new roadways in front of the barns and hunter rings.

“I think all of the improvements and new additions to the schedule are just fabulous,” said Steele. “It’s fantastic that every year something new is added to the property. The changes at Jumper 1 will be really exciting for the horses and riders competing in that ring. As someone who owns and operates a farm, I know how much goes into building and maintaining a property. It’s really nice to have a management team committed to giving back to the show and the exhibitors the way Tom [Struzzieri] and HITS have always done.”
