After video of some of Edward Gal's and Totilas' record breaking tests (to the sound of pop Christmas songs), there was some brief video about Paul Schöckemohle's career as a jumper-rider and breeder of top level sport horses.  Then Matthias rode the horse out of the shadows and into the spotlight.  

When the lights came up, Matthias rode some trot extensions, passage, piaffe, then in canter, half pass.  With commentary from Matthias' father and coach, Klaus Martin Rath, Matthias continued to show different movements with apparent ease and harmony.  

Among the crowd of journalists, photographers, and videographers, Paul Schöckemohle was shown in the front row watching his new "Christmas present" to himself perform.  And then the live-feed of the press conference went down!

But now, all the rumors and guesses can end, and Matthias will have both the pleasure and the hard work as he continues to get to know this amazing dressage talent: Totilas.
