If you have a taste for adventure, enjoy exploring on horseback and want to make lifelong friends, then you need to sign up for the 2011 Canadian Wilderness Challenge.   World Horse Welfare has organised a once-in-a-lifetime challenge ride in the Canadian wilderness for 2011 - and you could take part.

Using pack horses to carry your kit for the duration of the trip, you will ride through some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Pass through vast wildflower meadows, cross glacial rivers and, if you are lucky, spot moose, wolves and bears on the way.  You will camp out at night, sharing delicious food and laughs around the camp fire - a truly once-in-a-lifetime adventure!

The Canadian Wilderness Challenge Ride will take place from 21st - 30th August, and will cover the back country and mountains of British Columbia. You will ride on local horses, climbing mountains, crossing rivers and spotting beautiful wildlife.

The Canadian Wilderness Challenge will raise much needed funds for World Horse Welfare.  By taking part in this amazing trip, you will be helping to raise funds to help vulnerable horses, both at home and overseas.

If you would like more information about how you can get involved, visit the Challenge Ride area.
