Reality sets in for all of Edward Gal and Totilas' fans:  Toto has passed all vet exams and is now at Paul Schockemohle's stables in Germany.

There has been much speculation about Toto's competition future on equestrian websites throughout the world.  Many were hoping that some way would be found for Edward Gal to continue riding his horse of a lifetime and possibly the dressage horse of the millenium.  This was not meant to be.  

And even though Schockemohle is said to be looking for a new rider, and rumors have flown around the globe about different big-name riders who supposedly have declined the offer, it appears that Schockemohle is planning to allow his 'present to himself' to have some time off from competition.  

Schockemohle did say that he might be able to set up a new partnership for the World Champion from among the many well qualified German riders out there, but he has not promised that this will happen, or that it will happen soon.

For now, Totilas' millions of fans worldwide will have to wait to see if they will ever witness the record breaking stallion compete again.
