In addition to Jayne, Sunday’s featured class paved the way for three other riders to break into the Top 40. Florida's Jimmy Torano is now tied with Helen McNaught for 10th, and Jeffrey Welles of Brewster, New York entered at 16th, while Peter Leone of Greenwich, Connecticut made his debut in the number 27 spot. Canadian Olympian Jill Henselwood and Bradon Construction's Bottom Line have been in the top spot with more than $100,000 in prize money won since the close of the winter circuits. However, thanks to a very successful summer show season, Texas’ Tracy Fenney is hot on her heels in the number two spot with $86,700 in prize money won. New Zealand's Guy Thomas rounds out the top three, while Olympians McLain Ward from Brewster, New York, and Margie Engle of West Palm Beach, Florida also hold spots in the top 10 of this star-studded field.

Time is running out for High-Performance riders to qualify for the Pfizer Million. HITS Culpeper offers the next two chances in August, while the final two Pfizer Million qualifiers will take place at HITS Saugerties during Week VII, September 1-5.

Week VIII at HITS Saugerties, September 8-11, will feature the one and only Wild Card class in the $50,000 FEI World Cup Qualifier/Pfizer Million Wild Card Grand Prix, presented by Pfizer Animal Health. Party and Prizes!

The NY Horse & Pony Show certainly provided exhibitors with plenty to do outside of the ring. The party got started on Thursday night when some of the top Grand Prix riders in the country set sail aboard The Teal, HITS' Official Motor Yacht, for the Pfizer High-Performance Riders Dinner on the beautiful Hudson River.

Riders enjoyed a fabulous night on the water and were treated to a night of fine food courtesy of New World Home Cooking Co., whose owner and head chef, Ric Orlando, recently scored the "blue ribbon" on the Food Network program, Chopped.

The Pfizer High-Performance Riders Dinner certainly proved to be the right recipe for success as Sunday’s big Grand Prix winner Jayne was amongst the riders who enjoyed a wonderful night on the river. Other riders in attendance included Mike McCormick, Tracy Fenney and Patty Stovel, all of whom are vying for a spot in the Pfizer Million.

Friday night the party shifted back to the show grounds where Emil Spadone, Jimmy Torano and Kate Conover served as the guest judges for the annual Equestrian Idol, presented by The Dutch Ale House. Allison Hartwell from ESI Photography stole the show and won gift certificates to The Dutch Ale House and DIG, a hip clothing shop in the Village of Saugerties.

Saturday night exhibitors were treated to a very special party at Fletcher Gallery in Woodstock, New York as HITS celebrated the Gallery Opening of the inaugural HITS-on-the-Hudson Equestrian Art Exhibition & Auction. Equestrian themed artwork from 59 artists was on display at the famed Woodstock art gallery. Fletcher Gallery will host a month-long gallery show of the Exhibition leading into the Pfizer Million weekend when the collection will move to HITS-on-the-Hudson. The Equine Art Auction will take place Friday evening, September 10 at the show grounds to raise money for FAMILY of Woodstock, Inc. and the participating artists.

The Odor-No-More Great Groom's Award went to Redfield Farm of Califon, New Jersey.

The Exclusive Top Dog Award was presented in the Best Looking Dog category to Elouise, owned by Alden Denegre of Middleburg, Virginia. Honorable mention for the same category goes to Joey, owned by Daniel Wolski and Christine Manz.
