With the victory of young Hillary Dobbs, USA took a second win at the CSIO Rome - Piazza di Siena SNAI Show Jumping. Riding Corlett she produced a clear round in 52:60 in the Class 5 Regione Lazio, against the clock, 1.45 mt.

She defeated Brazil’s Rodrigo Pessoa, one of the circuit’s fastest rider. With Night Train he finished in 52:88 ahead of the British star Nick Skelton with Unique (53:17).
Dobbs said: “We have been performing great lately. I am happy to be here in this beautiful setting. My horse is very comfortable in open strides. She is very reliable. I have her since the Junior division.”
Pessoa said this competition was helpful for him to test Night Train’s shape in view of Sunday’s Grand Prix. Nick Skelton added he was particularly impressed by the Piazza di Siena’s course and ground.
It was the combination Fabio Brotto and Master Erg delle Roane from Italy (53:60) to rank fourth. John Whitaker (54:87) with Tadmus got the fifth place like in the opening class this morning.
