SAUGERTIES, NY (September 23, 2010) -- HITS, Inc. is gearing up for its final week of competition for 2010 at HITS Culpeper and is excited to offer several outstanding prize money opportunities for hunters and jumpers to conclude another great season at Commonwealth Park.

The HITS Culpeper Finals will take place Wednesday, September 29 through Sunday, October 3 at Commonwealth Park in Culpeper, Virginia and promises to deliver a full lineup of exciting classes and events for everyone, from Short Stirrup to High-Performance riders.

HITS just announced earlier today that it will once again host a $1 Million Dollar Grand Prix as the finale to its 2011 show season and Sunday's $40,000 HITS Grand Prix, presented by Pfizer Animal Health, at HITS Culpeper will serve as the very first qualifying class for the 2011 show season, with a top purse of $12,000. Prior to the start of the Grand Prix, HITS will honor its 2010 SmartPak Circuit Champion's in a Parade of Champions.

Aaron Vale and Paparazzi 10 won the $40,000 Strongid® C 2X Grand Prix at HITS Culpeper on July 11.

The Junior/Amateur Jumper riders will have the opportunity to compete for outstanding prize money in the Grand Prix field with the $15,000 Junior/A-O Jumper Low Classic and the $25,000 Junior/A-O Jumper High Classic on Sunday, October 3.

"That's a great opportunity for us," said Rhian Davies, an amateur rider who won the $5,000 Junior/A-O Jumper Low Classic at the Constitution Classic in Culpeper this past August on her own Baltimore. "The Junior and Amateur riders work very hard to compete at a top level, so to offer a class with that amount of prize money is a pretty big deal. It's certainly a special reward."

Starting the weekend finale of show jumping on Friday, October 1, will be the $15,000 Brook Ledge Open Jumper Prix, where High-Performance riders will get an early taste of International Course Designer Marina Azevedo's (Campinas, Brazil) flavor before the first qualifying Grand Prix.

Pre-Green Hunters will have their chance to shine in the Main Hunter Ring on Saturday, October 2, when the $10,000 Pre-Green Hunter Classic takes the stage.

Also on Saturday, the popular Culpeper Equitation Classic will take to the Grand Prix field offering Junior, Amateur, Children's and Adult riders the opportunity to pick their fence heights - either 3' or 3'6" - over a medal-type course.

The final week of HITS' show jumping will be HITS exhibitors' last chance to win a piece of the HITS Culpeper prize money before HITS and exhibitors prepare for the popular HITS winter circuits. The HITS 2011 winter show season kicks-off with the HITS Ocala Winter Circuit on January 19 and runs through March 20. On the west coast, the HITS Desert Circuit in Thermal, California will take place January 25, through March 13, while the HITS Arizona Winter Circuit will run six consecutive weeks from February 2, through March 13.

All HITS Winter Circuit Prize Lists will be available by mid-to-late October. To request a prize list, please visit HitsShows.com.
