Three horses in one neighborhood in Ticonderoga, New York, have been wounded by a sniper in the last month.
The first horse was discovered May 19 and is recuperating from a wound on his withers. He was moved to a rescue facility since he was also found to be in emaciated condition at the time. His owner has been charged with neglect
Two more horses with gunshot wounds were later discovered in the same area of the town in early June. Their locations and owners' identities have not been released. Both animals are receiving medical care and are reported to be recovering from their wounds.
Local police suspect that one person is responsible for all three attacks and are following up on some leads. They have requested that anyone with information should call them.
