Top event horse, H J Hampton, known as 'Henny' is at the center of an ownership dispute which we reported on here.  He also underwent colic surgery on December 12.

He is recovering well from his surgery.  His Facebook page has the following update:

Henny continues to recover exceptionally well. He is now able to go for walks outside, and he's enthusiastically enjoying an apple or two. His vets are hopeful that he can be discharged very soon. Thank you all for your positive messages and thoughts.

Meanwhile, the court has ruled that Henny is to remain with Peter Atkins, who has trained him to top level eventing, until the issue of ownership is fully settled.  Atkins is responsible for his board, care, and further training while the other party in the dispute, Linda Martin, is prohibited from selling or otherwise interfering with Atkin's control over Henny.  A final hearing on the ownership issue will be scheduled in March, 2011.
