US riders on the Short List for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games made a solid showing at the Richland Park Horse Trials in Richland, MI.
In the CIC3* Boyd Martin and Remington XXV maintained second place from the start, scoring a 47.60 in Dressage and adding just four faults in Show Jumping to finish behind Canadian Selena O'Hanlon and Colombo. Karen O'Connor and Mandiba moved up from seventh after Cross-Country to finish third, and Martin took fourth with Neville Bardos.
Winning the CIC2* on their Dressage score of 49.40 was Sinead Halpin and Manoir De Carneville. Phillip Dutton and Why Not were second, and Frankie Simpson and Watson's Shelbreen moved up from 17th after Dressage to finish third.
In the Advanced Test A division, Allison Springer and Arthur dominated from day one, scoring a 29.10 in Dressage and putting in near foot perfect Cross-Country and Show Jumping trips. Dutton finished just behind Springer with The Foreman for second and with Woodburn for third. In the Advanced Test B, Kim Severson and Tipperary Liadhnan were second while Buck Davidson and Titanium were third.
