YOUR HORSE COULD BE A GREETING CARD SUPERSTAR!

Your horse could have what it takes to become the international star of a brand new Jude Too greeting card.

Hi everyone, I'm Lesley Bruce the artist behind Jude Too. All of my cards are based on real-life events, and this fall I am inviting riders everywhere to send me their most unforgettable horsey moments to be created into a brand new greeting card based on the antics of a new equine superstar and their "person".

On October 31, I will select one horse and rider to capture their story in an original picture and share it with the whole world as the newest addition to the international Jude Too series.

What happened to you and your horse today…last month...last year? What made you laugh…love...cry...scream just because you have a horse? Your story can be funny, silly moving - even embarrassing, but most of all fun.

To enter, post your story on our group Comment Wall along with a small photo of you and your horse. Your story can be as short as one paragraph!

For examples of current Jude Too cards visit the Jude Too collection. I look forward to reading your stories!!

Thanks Jess that's really helpfull ... nice to see your face ... my you have lovely long hair. Will look forward to seeing your friends.

Patina seems Ok but had a scare yesterday, the catheter was securely stitched in place and good as new, I let her out to stroll about by the stables where it was safe, she quietly grazed, then suddenly it was gone just the plastic coller stitched to her remained. My heart sank, she needs 2 more days of meds ... did the whole thing come out ? .. is the plastic tube still in her ?... FEAR .................................

Telephone the horse vet .. in French, amazing how much I understand when needed but not totally sure I have so rushed off to the local small aninmal vet who speaks english and got him to ring. (The horse vet is a long way distant.)

Well, he said as she was ok then she didn't need the rest of the meds and if the plastic catheter was still in her it would not cause a problem. Well she is still ok today so I'm breathing easier but am rattled even though she's eating and looking happy.

What a week !!!

alls well that ends well,
Take Care
Cheers

Hey Lesley,
I hope Patina is feeling better! *jingles*

We have a canopy that looks very much like the one I have attached, except dark blue instead of dark green and without the white border "frills". We usually assemble several of the fold up/down lawn chairs that come in their own travel bag (like 4 or 5 of them). I have attached a picture incase you don't know. I will attach some pictures of my friends when I ask them first ;)

Hi Everyone, OOooo, so pleased you are not cross with me, have to say think it will be a very entertaining picture.

Sorry to be slow responding these last few days, had a crisis with my dearest mare Patina, she has been very ill with what the vet thinks is lymes disease (it's a new phenomena here in northen europe) so my mind has been elsewhere. She is on the mend with a catheter in her vien for me to administer meds. eeek.! She is amazing doesn't move a muscle, knows i am helping.

Thanks for the photo of your handsom lad Jess, I was just about to ask you for photos, but what about you, what do you look like?? can you post some of yourself and friends who join you under the canopy. can't populate it with strangers now can I - and it would be great if you could describe the usual layout of things. do you have a table? what kind of chairs? etc.

Take care all of you.
Cheers

OK folks, I've done it ... decided that is ... boy was it hard, the misery to say "nope, not this one" to such great stories.

Sleep took me last night dreaming deep into your wondrous stories, where I conversed with your horses, they laughed and explained what to do. ... They said ‘we see into your heart … follow your heart"

Well, my heart is delighted by the funny, touched by the heros and oh so close with those over the rainbow bridge. … I’m going to have to delve into your realms and make lots of pictures. …. This is far from a copout; it is a very, very large amount of work.

Well I have to start somewhere so … FOR STARTERS … I am going to do a Funny picture.
Visualize a sunny day behind the scenes at a show .... with FRANK ( yes Jess your Frank) under the canopy slurping his ice cold water. .... Zoom out … to see the big picture .... LITTLEASSO (yes your Littleasso Ingrid) making a nice job of spreading nay flinging the contents of his traveling chest. … Then (Misty’s) GENE all messed up orange just to his mind perfectly ready for his class. … (Laura Cain’s) DYLAN happily undressing GUS. … whilst Francine Gentle’s TONIC expertly dismantles his temporary stable. …. (Olivia Cullimore) is being licked to death by SOCKS. … (Pandora’s) BRUCE “moon-running her friend Jude with said ciggy never leaving said lips. … Sue’s Fell JACK is disappearing into the distance….

THERE WILL BE MORE OF YOU IN IT … as I draw the picture takes on a mind of it’s own. … just giving you the jist.

THEN …. There’s SALAD, you have to agree Linda tells a good tale and Salad is a bit of a one off.

There’s the herd picckies … (Dianna’s) Mr. Eko being the "guard horse on duty sitting down on the job”. Hey ho!

THE …. Water ones

THE …. Trail ones

THE …. Barrel ones

THE …. Rainbow Bridge ones.

The list goes on ….. watch this space. …… Phew!!!

A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO SHARED THEIR STORIES WITH ME. READING THEM HAS BEEN A DELIGHT.

Now the hardest of hard tasks ... to pick one ... I am quietly reading them all again and and every single one transports me to the magic world of horses, teeming with quirky characters, heros and love. ... Everyone's a winner ...

Well, you have set me thinking about doing new judetoo range ... perhaps call it ... "Horse Heros" ... see what you've started.

I'm Inspired.

Cheers
