YOUR HORSE COULD BE A GREETING CARD SUPERSTAR!

Your horse could have what it takes to become the international star of a brand new Jude Too greeting card.

Hi everyone, I'm Lesley Bruce the artist behind Jude Too. All of my cards are based on real-life events, and this fall I am inviting riders everywhere to send me their most unforgettable horsey moments to be created into a brand new greeting card based on the antics of a new equine superstar and their "person".

On October 31, I will select one horse and rider to capture their story in an original picture and share it with the whole world as the newest addition to the international Jude Too series.

What happened to you and your horse today…last month...last year? What made you laugh…love...cry...scream just because you have a horse? Your story can be funny, silly moving - even embarrassing, but most of all fun.

To enter, post your story on our group Comment Wall along with a small photo of you and your horse. Your story can be as short as one paragraph!

For examples of current Jude Too cards visit the Jude Too collection. I look forward to reading your stories!!

Littlelasso is my 6ry old gelding..He remindes me of the movie "Fifty first Dates" The one with Drew Barrymore... Lasso wakes up in a different world every day. Each day is a chalange....We have all heard the saying "scared of your own shadow" well thats Lasso literaly...He has been around cattel all his life , but if I take him somewhere where there is cattle ...uuuuww thier gona get me mode kicks in.... Some times when I'm riding if My own dog comes accross the field from the brush EEEWww monster coming!!! One time while tied to the hitching post he decided to play/bite the sturip. Well he got his teeh hung on the sturip and when he tried to striaghten out his neck it just got tighter , so there he was flipp floppin all over the place tied to the post. Not a pretty sight .... Or the time I left the Shed door un latched...He decided to decorate all over his pen with saddle pads , ropes, buckets, brushes , cat food , shovels , hoe , ax, ect... I think he probobly had the most fun with the cat food, I could tell by the way it was slung all over the place...Therer was also the time I drove up and he was in the trailer shed with the gate closed behind him.?. How he got in there I'll never figure that one out..there is barely room for the trailer...I think deep down when he got in there his Mother shut the gate behind him , so she could have some peace and quiet..LOL....and lets not forget the scary round bales in the pasture, that have been there forever, and each time we go that way he thinks there gona get him....when he was a yearling he was quite contankerous (sp)..thats kind of how he got his name "littlelasso"....(if you say Littlelasso fast several times together)..........that's what he can be at times.....But he's my boy , my first born . and I love him just as he is..

In July we purchased a 5 year old Arab/Warmblood Cross. She is 15hh, 5 years old and just backed in March 08. I know a green horse and green rider isn't always a good thing. That's where Mom comes in ... after returning to riding last year to riding after almost 20 years away from the sport I thought I would still have the skills to help with a green horse. Needless to say this sweet, kind and chestnut mare decides regularly to REFUSE to move in any direction I would like to go. Oh more than one occasion I had ended up in tears hopping off only to watch my young son hop on and with a small squeeze walk in any direction he would like. The "green" young boy can easily walk, trot, canter and jump little x's without any signs of riding a green horse. Its something to do with he understanding who she HAS to take care of (only too bad she didn't realize who pays to take care of her). Despite my mild frustrations (and tears), she is sweet, kind and loving with me as long as I'm not on her back!

Hi again Lina.

All I can say is you MUST write a book, Salad has given you so much material and you tell it so well. Thoroughly enjoyed the last chapter.

God, who on earth arranged the lighting, dam scary, you must be mad!!!!!

Cheers

Hi Kori,

OMG I wish I'd been there, what a hoot it will always make me giggle, the thought of good ole Dan strolling up and scaring the wits out of all the "special" barrel horses.

He is a beautiful horse, such a good colour and all those quarter horse muscles, superb, you are very lucky.

I see he can't keep his head out of bags, do you have to hide them all?

Liked the way you told the story.
Thanks
Cheers

Hi Angela,
Your Carrington a bundle of fun with all his antics, how old was he? sounds like a big kid.

Gosh your heart certainly would have flipped when you arrived at the paddock to find him ... gone! .. aaaaah! where is he?.

He must have been digging all night, well at least you will have the fittest horse for miles and he even does his own aerobics.

Perhaps .. he he ... suggest to your husband this gives you more time to spend with him???

lovely story, thanks
Cheers

Hi Saddlebredrider

Daniel, what a little star, hey you wouldn't think the little hairy monster was the same horse as the exquisite beauty he magicked into.

Wow he is going to be a stunner, and seems will always keep himself clean and tidy being as he so likes his home comforts.

I did very much enjoy his photos thanks for posting them.

Cheers

Hi Taryn,

Your first post did not get lost, I had a deadline to meet and just had to knuckle down to work it made me slow responding, sorry.

Your photos are truly lovely, I have thoroughly enjoyed looking at them, it's obvious your and Jacquet's souls are as one.

Like you and your parents I've had hard times, only those on the receiving end know just how it feels. and reading your latest post, you have had a really, really horrid time. So pleased you managed to keep Jacquet, losing him doesn't bear thinking about. And through it all you have kept such a happy smile.

The Horrid bad times are gone now, think of it like this you've got the rubbish out of the way noe and things will just get better and better. My thoughts are with you,

Bless the animals that help us.

Your photos took me back to when I was in my twenties with Jonas my first horse. I lived in Llandudno North Wales in the UK, and worked in a restaurant. Jonas lived near the beach and every possible moment I would skip out for a quick bareback ride on the sand and go for a swim, in my mini-skirt dress (they were in fashion then).

Bliss ...

Thank you so much
Cheers

Hi Tori.
Muley is spectacular, such dazzling spots and not surprised you fell in love with him and he's clever too, and nice to let his friend out so they could both have fun, what a sight seeing them trotting out I bet they looked guilty.

The view behind him in his giraffe photo is wonderful it must do you good to be there and see it.

You are an animal cruelty officer, a heart wrenching job, my hat goes off to you it can't be easy and thank god there are people like you who do it.

Thanks for sharing Muley
cheers
