Australian Kelly Layne won the Grand Prix at the CDI Wayne, IL, USA. Layne needs no introduction in Australia. The daughter of Australian judge Helen Anstee, Layne has represented her country at the 2006 World Equestrian Games. But last summer, she left her native country for American soil and this month she's introduced herself to Americans by taking the Grand Prix blue ribbon on the opening day of the Lamplight CDI.

More info came out about Kelly Layne and Amoucheur.

CDI Wayne - Dressage at Lamplight, sponsored by Canaan Ranch. Australian Kelly Layne won two classes aboard her Amoucheur, a horse she'd given up all hopes on after a disastrous 2006 WEG experience. Ulla Salzgeber's bereiter Frank Freund was given the ride on Amoucheur for life and took over the full care and payments of the horse. Amoucheur and Freund did really well in the German Piaff Forderpreis, scoring consistently round 66%. Seeing Freund's success on the sensitive Amoucheur and making the decision to move to the States, Layne claimed her horse back and moved to the U.S.A. where she is winning now.
