Who 'bucks' their owners off? My owner gets annoying and tempts 2 lean forward when I jump over spreads 4 her perfectly, so I just dump her, then afterwards she pulls, sorry, YANKS my reins, then slaps me and calls me a bronco. A little long drawn but how about u guys?

Hi I am Bella, and I have bucked my owner off a couple times, and too I have gone off bucking and she just jumps off after a while. I only bucked like that when my saddle slips back and is hurting me. It's a really sharp and awful pain when that happens. Have you ever had that happen? My person usually just laughs and asks me to slow up. Very often she just stays with me, it depends on where we are. If we are at an exhibition she will jump off, but if we are at home she tends to just stay with me. It has taught her to pay closer attention to how my saddle fits me, and I am grateful for that. She says it's unseemly for a dressage horse to act like a bucking bronco.
My saddle doesn't slip back but to the side! Usually I stop when it happens, but if she falls off I walk over to a patch of grass and graze happily. Then I don't let her on until she tightens my girth!
I haven't had a chance to throw anyone, as I have never had a human on my back (yet). I did do my best Calgary Stampede bronco impression the first time that a lungeing surcingle was cinched up around me! :)

I don't think that I will buck and throw my human when she does decide to ride me (unless she does something VERY wrong). My human is very patient and obedient when I am working with her and I wouldn't want to hurt her. If she gets hurt then she won't be able to come out to spend time with me and bring me treats and scratch my ears... and I do like our time together. We have a lot of fun.
Lucky. I was a former western horse and used in shows. My previous owner used to hit me so I threw him off (he also had spurs!) He sent me to the rodeo where, in training, they tied me to poles and hit me with a whip! |:( Some humans have no hearts! My most recent owner went to a rodeo in Tennesse and saw how beaten up I was. She bought me (in like what seemed an eternity) and then it took me what seemed like another eternity to get me healed. I trust my owner and only throw her off if I'm hyper or for a reason!
I don't buck my rider off- I just spook at NOTHING!
Ha ha, that's classic!
Well, I try to be good but when my human yanks on my mouth I have to do something! I try not to do anything too drastic....only a small kick or crowhop.
Good choice. :) I am very naughty and getting a bad habit of bucking when I get just slightly bored! Not very good! My humans mother doesn't approve of this but my human loves it! So I carry on! But of course I behave in shows! ;)
I accidentally threw my human yesterday. I've learned that I don't like bucking and throwing my rider... it's scary, and I think that I broke my human. :(

It was near the end of our riding session, and I felt that we had done enough, so I stopped and refused to move on. My human tickled me with her dressage whip (no biggie, I wasn't scared because it is something that she has done before), but I wasn't paying attention (I was distracted by a few new people in the arena).

Anyhow, I kind of over-reacted. I hopped and bolted, and my human stayed on... but her weight shifted a little because of my hopping, so I tried to turn to look at what was going on. My sudden bucking spin (actually spins, because I kept turning) caused her to fall off. I didn't understand where she went and I accidentally ran over her. I did move away from her once I heard her yell "GO!" at me, but I think that I hurt her.

She was lying on the ground for a really long time, which scared me a lot. The other humans eventually helped her to the side of the arena, and then the barn owner made me work really, really hard on the lunge-line and under saddle. Once I settled down, another human took my tack off and groomed me and turned me out, but I never got to see my human. I didn't get my after-work nuzzles or my treats. I am very worried about my human because she hasn't been to the barn today either. I hope that she's OK and that she comes back soon.

I really, really didn't mean to hurt her.

I also broke the reins on my nice new bridle. :(
I'm sure she'll be fine!
