Im just curious what everyone feeds there horses in the winter  ?

I  have owned my14.3 hands  standard Quarter Horse for 16 years  hes now 21  .

i feed him local hay he gets soaked alfalfa  cubes a.m with half cup powdered Dr. Reeds and soaked cubes in the p.m.   he seems to do very well on this...  He is an easy keeper.  i also pack warm buckets of water  when everything  freezes  . As my guy will consume more when its warm.

Less chance of impaction. no  heated waterers here  . maybe next year only been packing buckets for 16 years...LOL
