The first Totally Thoroughbred Horse Show held in the famous infield at Pimlico Racetrack in Baltimore, Maryland was a huge success. The show received nearly 800 entries for the July 14th show. The Maryland Jockey Club is excited to announce that over $16,000 was raised for the official charitable beneficiaries:

Thoroughbred Placement Resourceswww.goodhorse.org, Angel Acres Horse Haven Rescue www.angelacreshorsehavenrescue.com, Mid-Atlantic Thoroughbred Rescuewww.midatlantichorserescue.org will each receive a check for $5,500.

The Maryland horse industry shared in the appreciation for the Thoroughbred horse, and gathered together in a great show of unity to provide support for Totally Thoroughbred. Maryland Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association and the Maryland Horse Breeders Association were generous sponsors for the prize monies given away to the winning horses. Dark Hollow Farm kindly sponsored the trophies, Maryland Horse Radio sponsored the trophies, and Steve Dance auctions sponsored the radio communications.

HRTV.com provided live streaming for the event, and report that they had the largest number of visitors to the site since June 8, the day before the Belmont Stakes. Totally Thoroughbred visitors to the HRTV.com site spent more than twice the usual average amount of time on the site.
