Barnmice Equestrian Social Community

The video community for horse people everywhere

I love my horse (Rose) because she is everything I created her to be. I have struggled with physical issues for many years (back surgery, cancer). I decided to breed my own horse in the hopes of getting one that I could actually ride with all my physical problems. I bred her mother (a paint) to an Andalusian, and then the mare got EPM. There were no studies to indicate whether the treatment for EPM would affect the foal or not. I had to go ahead with the treatment or I would lose them both. Fortunately the treatment did not hurt the foal and Rose was born very healthy. I dried her off when she hit the ground, taught her to lead using Parelli methods, raised her and started her under saddle, and she is exactly what I bred her to be. She has the best disposition, a cadillac trot (that I can sit), she is solid as a rock...not spooky, naturally balanced, competitive gaits for dressage, willing, intelligent, sound, a wonderful personality, and she's beautiful inside and out...including those extra large ears that look almost like a donkey! She's everyone's favorite at the barn and the love of my life. She's a sweet spirit and a survivor just like me! It doesn't get better than this!
