When saddlebreds stand they "park out". This stance was made for 2 reasons. (1) - For a lady to get on her horse with out a step block. (2) - In war before it started they would line up, to keep the horse from wandering and moving it was put in this comfy stand.

The saddle is a saddleseat or cutback. Its very flat, with a very low cantle and Pommel. It also has NO Knee rolls or calf rolls, so balance is every thing. Yup, 2 bits are used at one time. A thin snaffle and a curb, our curb bits are usually 5 inch port and 7 inch shank.

Really interesting photo. What type of saddle is used? Is it close to a dressage saddle? Are there two bits, as with dressage?
