I'm thinking maybe the one facing us is the announcer at the contest. lol
Keep the humor! Boy do we need it these days!! We are having a horrible nasty day today as we did a couple of days ago but then it was low 40's and today is suppose to get very low 60. The horses were pretty cold when we brought them in. But today we are getting the thunder and lightening too so they better be in. Cash's beautiful stud brother was killed by lightening along with another horse at the same time and owned by the same lady. This poor lady is one of those people that you could say "she wouldn't have any luck if it wasn't for bad luck. Her husband lost his job. Then he was hospitalized with a heart problem. She came home from being at the hospital with him and the storm was in full force so she went to the house only to hear the horses scream when they got hit. I had no idea how many cattle and horses are killed by lightening. Now it really concerns me when we get lightening storms. Sometimes I end up going out in the storm and bringing the horses in or at least Cash depending on the circumstances and then I sit out the worst of the storm with the horses. Two years ago we had a horrible storm go through and we watched the worst of it travel to the west and north of the barn. As it turned out we were watching a tornado and didn't know it. It wiped out some businesses, old barns, trees etc. about 5 miles north of us. It was pretty bad. And there a friend and I stood watching it! I do't know when we'd have taken cover? Crazy horsie moms!
Anyway, have a good day! I'm off to go to the my mom's persoanl doctor to see what he has to say about how she is doing and where we go from here with her heart problems. She is on quite a bit of medicine now which scares her too. Growing old is not much fun. It seems each stage of life has it's challenges and worries.
We must be thankful for a half way normal day!!!!!!!
