my horse that lives at Amaryllis Farm Equine Rescue. Promise is a 9yr registered gulla paint/paso. His owner bought him when he was a baby. She took amazing care of him and did a great job training him. She babyied him his whole life until one day she took a trajic fall out of a hayloft! Promise watched as his only mom be takin away and never seen again. She eventually died in the hospital. Promise didn't understand. The husband called Amaryllis asking if they could take him and we did. Promise came very insecure and depressed and needed a human mom. I stepped in and adopted him. i love him!
Mikey is a 17yr old tb gelding. HE did many years of working and showing and jumping hour after hour for mankind. He ,like most other service horses when they are not income producing are not given a right to retire even though they earned it. Mikey worked hard and he is a perfectionist and cant stand doing somthing wrong but he said i cant do this anymore. So he quit jumping and wasnt making money off lessons cause theyre all jumping. he was worthless. the barn asked if we could take him and we did and here he is teaching kids and adults how to ride and is the most trust worthy horse there is. most camp and servise horses go to autions then to slaughter
