Akhal-Teke stallion Turkmen Atti born in Russia 1784 came via Damascus to Wienna to Katarina the Great who later gave the stallion to King Friedrich Wilhelm II who used him for breeding at his stud Neustadt-Dosse.
Via his sons Turkmen Atti influenced the breeding of riding horses in central Europe, especially the Trakhener breed.
