A short, stocky old-fashioned Shire, about 16.2 hands. Very different from the tall gangly sort you see in modern show rings. Boxer could be handled on 20 foot long lines with pin sharp accuracy. He was beautifully balanced on his feet, with a wonderfully smooth sitting trot - even bareback! Very sweet tempered, too. Incredibly intelligent - but a low boredom threshhold!
