Michelle and I hadn't met yet when I had a disastrous fall off my green fjord mare on 9/9/09. My shattered wrist eventually healed (after surgery to put it back together with a titanium plate and screws). My spirit, and my confidence on the other had were shattered too and took much longer to heal. A year later my mare was for sale, and Michelle responed to my ad on behalf of a friend of hers. She fell in love with my mare, and Michelle and I were fast friends from that day forward. The person who bought my mare offered her super sweet QH mare Holly (that's me riding her in the picture) as part of the payment for my mare. Michelle (on her Friesian cross ZaFeer) and I have spent many hours together in the saddle since. Holly is the perfect horse for me! As a naturally skilled rider with a laid back personality Michelle helped me get back in the saddle with confidence. Though most of our conversations revolve around horses, we can talk about anything...relationships, family, work, health, etc. Though we've only been friends for a year, she is the best horsey friend I could have asked for.
