As I said in my previous post, I wanted to add a pic that really shows Moshi going TOWARD the bit with an open throatlatch.

Like most Friesians, Moshi likes to drop his back and raise and shorten his neck--particularly through transitions. So in this picture, I give the connecting aids WHILE I'm asking him to do a downward transition to the halt.

Then when we actually stop, I open my fingers (just like on the stretchy circle). Because he's truly connected, he chews the reins forward, down, and out and continues to seek the bit even in the halt!
