I am an Equine Canada level 2 coach and I'm working on my level 3. I love horses and I love to share my insights and knowledge with my students. I seem to attract type A personalities and work with them well. My program is systematic in the development of both horse and rider and the results speak for themself.
While I may work with competetive riders I find that one of my strengths as a coach is working with nervous or fearful riders. It gives me such a thrill to see the change from a nervous rider to one who develops both the skills and the confidence to enjoy their ride time. Their smiles and laughter make the experience so worth while for me.
It's not to say that I don't enjoy the competetive aspect of the sport it's just that I see it can be so much more for so many. Riding can be the escape from pressures at work, at school, and from the family. Riding can provide an enviroment where we can develop perspective on those and other
pressures.
