Profile Information

A Bit About Me and my Horse(s): I am a young professional in the Personal Finance industry based in Mississauga, Ontario.

I have ridden consistently since the age of 8.

I continued to ride during University, paying for lessons when I had some money to spare or riding friends' horses when I didn't. In my final years at school I joined up with the Brock Equestrian Team. Still in its formative years, I spent time helping organize team events and weekly team meetings, as well as helping to organize, gather sponsorship and find horses for the show that we hosted as a team. I very nearly made it to a first place finish at finals the last year that I rode, but forgot my final fence in the jump off between myself and another rider and just scraped away a save so I could at least place second in the class.

My favourite place I have ever ridden was Gillonna Farms and Equestrian Centre in Milton, Ontario. I had the time of my life there, and couldn't have asked to meet nicer people in all the world! It was an amazing place! I worked weekends there as a volunteer student so I could get an extra lesson a week and also worked for them as a camp councilor for their summer children's camp.

Growing up I never had the chance to part-board or own a horse, and it's still a dream I have to one day have my own horse(s). Right now I'm more than happy riding with my fabulous coach Lauren Cude at Graduate Riding School, she's got all the knowledge and experience that will help me to excel in my riding. Having always competed in the hunters/jumpers growing up, Lauren's giving me a grand introduction to three-day eventing - I'm learning lots of dressage and excited to get out on the cross-country course in the summertime!
