I have loved horses all my life. I have owned several horses over the years but took a "time out" for 2 decades to rear my children and obtain a degree. I have recently adopted a horse from a registered rescue organization. He is a real challenge. I have been seeking advice on handling this beautiful horse. Reading up on all the latest techniques and Parelli methods as well as others.

I have been brought to tears by EVERY new horse I've ever gotten. Horses do not read the books and they have not seen the videos. They often come to us with unresolved issues. If you are a beginner or do not have a lot of experience with different horses it CAN become overwhelming to anybody, you are not the only one!
Like babies, horses do not come with instruction manuals.
Thank you, Beverly! :) I hope you find yourself at home here; we are a very friendly bunch, and I think you'll find a plethora of information to help you with your rescue boy. If you are interested, the Review has a ton of articles that could help you, and the Forum always has wonderful discussions. :) Cheers!
We have quite a few people here who can give you good advice, and if that fails we are also very good at offering sympathy! Explore our groups and discussions, especially the Body Language Group, you will learn a lot.
