I have been a rider for 38 years. It all started in Hudson Que. Once my family moved I didn't ride for almost 1 year, I missed it so much my parents relented and let me start lessons again, this time in Richmond B.C. Within a year or two the instructor quit and recommended I move to a trainer at Southlands riding club in Vancouver. That is where I spent the next 6 years. From there I moved to Langley and rode with various trainers. I left riding for a year or so until a good friend convinced me to come out with the Fraser Valley Hunt Club. After a few seasons with them I was asked to join the front as "whip" wich was great fun. Since then I started teaching and training which I have kept up. I have a teenage daughter who I have trained and who now rides with Lindy Townley in the Medal divisions of local horse shows. Over the years I have bred, bought and sold ponies which my daughter has helped "kid proof" and train. At present we work together on a part time basis with some of my students helping exercise our ponies. I have a fabulous home business in which I help people with personal and financial growth which allows for my passion with horses and riders to continue.
