- A Bit About Me and my Horse(s)
- I didn't start riding until I was 50. A friend gave me a set of riding lessons for my birthday. Hokie, a chestnut QH gelding, was a horse at the barn where I took lessons and while I didn't ride him at the beginning, later after I gained confidence, I asked to ride him in all my lessons. We became a team and his owner suggested I lease him. We trailered out every weekend for trail rides and shows. My husband bought him for my 51st birthday. After that, my husband caught the horse bug and a year later we bought Tiger, a bay TB.
